Frequently asked questions about Polaris campsite

No — pitches at Polaris cannot be booked. That goes for tents, campervans and caravans alike. You take a pitch when you arrive, after reporting your stay and paying for it on the spot. There is no availability calendar and no waiting list — neither with the campsite operator nor on this site.

With a site this big it is not a lottery: there is almost always space, even at the height of the season.

There is almost always space. Polaris is the largest campsite on Hel — several hundred pitches across a very large area — so even in peak season, when the smaller sites in Chałupy are full, you can still pitch a tent or drive in with a campervan.

Nobody will confirm it in advance, because with no booking there is no availability to check — this site is not the campsite operator and has no insight into occupancy. In practice the question is which pitch you get: in the second half of July and the first half of August the shaded pitches and those close to the water go first, so arriving earlier in the day gives you more choice.

The campsite is seasonal — from Corpus Christi until mid-September. Outside that period it is closed.

The 2026 price list sets a minimum stay of 4 nights. That is the operator’s rule — this site does not decide on exceptions and does not negotiate them; ask reception directly.

The price list has a separate item for a day visit (no overnight stay) — 80 zł, if what you want is to come onto the site for a day rather than to sleep there.

There is no single “price per night” — the fees add up for each night: each person + your kit (tent, caravan, campervan) + vehicle + any hook-ups + the local tourist tax. The 2026 rates per night: adult 30 zł, child under 10 19 zł, tent for 1–2 people or roof tent 27 zł, tent for 3 or more 39 zł, caravan 35–45 zł, campervan 60 zł, car 40 zł, motorbike or scooter 30 zł, dog 17 zł, electricity 16–39 zł depending on your kit, water 9 zł, local tourist tax 3.40 zł per person. The minimum stay is 4 nights.

For example, two people with a two-person tent and a car pay 133.80 zł per night, i.e. 535.20 zł for the minimum four nights. The calculator below works out your own case — the full rates are in the 2026 price list.

It is the Polish “opłata miejscowa” — 3.40 zł per person per night, collected on behalf of the Władysławowo town council. According to the price list it applies to everyone and is added to the fees for your stay.

A child under 10 pays 19 zł per night, an adult 30 zł per night. From the age of 10 the adult rate applies. The local tourist tax is charged for every person as set out in the price list.

The price list has a separate item: dog — 17 zł per night. What you may and may not do with an animal on site is governed by the rules posted at the gate.

The price list has two separate items: car park — 40 zł and campervan — 60 zł per night. It does not say, however, where the line runs for cars and vans converted for sleeping.

This question comes up in our inbox more often than any other price question and it is the only one this site cannot answer definitively — the staff at the gate decide how your vehicle is classified. If the difference matters to you, ask at reception before you travel.

Hook-ups are charged at a flat rate per night: electricity for a tent 16 zł, for a caravan 27 zł, for a campervan 39 zł, water 9 zł. Electricity requires your own extension cable and is limited to 2000 W.

Reception is open from 10:00 to 19:00 and the main gate around the clock. Whatever time you arrive, you must report your stay at the main gate.

That matters financially: the price list states that if you fail to report at the gate, a one-off extra charge of 200 zł applies, on top of the fees for your stay. Arriving late is not a problem in itself — driving in without reporting is.

You may only drive or walk onto the site after reporting at reception and paying for your stay. Entering the site means you accept the site rules and the price list.

Yes — the price list gives 5 zł for a 5-minute shower. There are also items for charging a phone (3 zł) and a laptop (7 zł).

They are posted at every gate of the campsite and available at reception. This site does not publish their text, because it is not their publisher — what counts is the version the operator makes available on site.

That is settled by the site rules and by the staff at the gate. This site is not the campsite operator and cannot give or confirm such permission — if a group of minors is travelling, agree it with reception before you set off rather than hoping it gets sorted at the gate on arrival.

The campsite provides pitches — for your own tent, campervan or caravan. Some of the caravans standing on the site, however, are rented out by their owners and are sometimes available online: caravans at Polaris campsite.

That rarely happens — the site is big enough that a pitch usually turns up, and Polaris is the last campsite in Chałupy where you can freely pitch a tent.

According to the 2026 price list, a caravan for July and August costs 25,000–37,000 zł, with the price of each pitch agreed individually depending on its position on the site. An additional owner’s car — 1,200 zł, winter storage for a caravan — 1,200–1,700 zł.

Terms for following seasons are agreed directly with the campsite operator.
